Bing Advert

  BT 17:03 26 Nov 2010

Is anyone else finding the background Bing advert extremely annoying. The forum page loads in and just as you are clicking on a post everything shifts down by about 4 or 5 lines resulting in the wrong post being selected!

I mentioned in another post that it gave the impression of travelling without moving as you scroll down the page, like an adjacent train pulling out of the station, for a moment you wonder if it's you or them that's moving.

Hopefully they're paying plenty!

Thank heavens - I thought it was just me! I don't usually bother about adverts as I know they are necessary, but this is really annoying.

Not seeing that AD here.

I also found it annoying and so I blocked it using NoScript.

Most ads don't bother me but that bing advert made me feel sick.

That's the first advert for ages that I've blocked on PC Advisor.

Also a problem for me I am running firefox.

Do what I did and block it using NoScript

You need to block the script highlighed in my screenshot below:

Many thanks.

I have never blocked a PCA ad before, and have expressed my support on many occasions in the past, but this finally reached, and breached, my limit.

Every forum, every thread, every page, and this for something I already have and use.

Sorry. Enough is enough.

I realise this is resolved, but I did an original post on it, but unfortunately posted it into someone else's thread and it disappeared.
Just like to say it was making me feel literally sick & dizzy, but thanks to CurlyWhirly's FF add on link which I have just done the ad has gone. At the moment.

Unfortunately the FF add on has also blocked my Picasa web albums so have had to uninstall.
Great shame. The ad is ruining the pleasure of this forum.
Have we had a response from the powers that be?

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
