BBC keep changing channels for tennis from Wimbledon?

Is there a logical reason why the BBC continue games by switching channels?

It has been pretty bad all through Wimbledon but just now we were watching a game on BBC 2 on Centre Court and Sue Barker came on and said they were continuing [that game] on BBC1 as BBC2 was going to go to Court One.

That was at 13:55. At 14:15, twenty minutes later, she came back on, BBC1, to say the game which had just been switched from BBC2 was now going to continue on BBC2 and the game from BBC2 would be continuing on BBC1.

Unless I am missing something obvious I wonder WHY?

If you can afford 2 [or more] tv sets in the same room ... you won't miss a thing ;o]

Is that 1 TV for each side of the net?

Picture in Picture and you can watch both on the same screen :0)

I'm still trying to work out this game

The ball changes ends several times a game

The players change ends several times a set

The players change courts several times a tournament

There is a judge in every court, who never changes ends but everyone is guilty if you try and argue with the judge.

You can't be serious!!!!

Its not in the rules that is has to be on the sane channel all the time.

Does that mean it can be on an insane channel then? Which one would that be?

Place two televisions side by side. Attach a piece of card, vertically, to your nose and forehead, like a central blinker. Now each eye can see one screen and you are ready to go.

Last summer there were complaints on this forum about the excessive sports coverage for the Olympics etc and how it disrupted TV viewing especially for the elderly who get confused when their favourite soap was not on the usual channel. Perhaps the BBC is now catering for this.
