About time.

It got a bit confusing knowing which banks were associated with other banks and thereby exceeding the limit. This should reduce the risk slightly.

Great joy, more protection for the public, but there might be doom and gloom if the banks had their own way over section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

I think you are correct regarding joining accounts with the same bank.

That is why banks have the advantage (per regulations, terms and conditions) of taking money from one account to pay another, if a customer as a shortfall in one of their accounts.
