Looking VERY frail, i belive he is only in his early 60's but looks like 80's

Such a shame to see what was once one of the best players in the world

That's what smokin' and drinkin' does to you, the same look goes for Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards. I'm 53 and still get 'excuse me young man...' on the street from people I know are much older than me!

  Quickbeam 06:54 22 Jun 2010

much younger even...

  dagbladet 07:28 22 Jun 2010

If I thought I could have half the life (experience) of Ronnie Wood, I'd settle for the weathered look.

  dagbladet 07:29 22 Jun 2010

Do people really say 'excuse me young man...' to anybody these days?

"Do people really say 'excuse me young man...' to anybody these days?"

My suspicion is that Quickbeam may well look young - but perhaps the hearing is dodgy!! (:-))

"Do people really say 'excuse me young man...' to anybody these days?"

I don't. I normally say "Move it you young punk" or "Out of my way brat" depending on size.

its not how you look for your age its how you feel for your age.

  Legolas 08:50 22 Jun 2010

Or as Groucho Marx once said "You're only as young as the woman you feel"

Alex Higgins used to live near me, and we'd often see him completely plastered in the town centre on a Saturday afternoon.

Once his doctor advised him to go on holiday to rest, so he went to live with Oliver Read at his house on Guernsey for a while - perfect place to get away from the drink & drugs...NOT.

Anthony Wilson had a similar idea when he sent the Happy Mondays to Jamaica to record the album that eventually killed his record label...
