the Maestro I had in mind, but yes - I remember it well.

Bearing in mind that a Maestro is one who exhibits supreme skill at what he does, it was possibly the most misnamed car ever!

I know it isn't what your topic is supposed to be about, but I'd just like to say that my dad owned one of the later models equipped with a Perkins diesel engine (non-Turbo version), and it was a very good car indeed. Practical, economical, and reliable.

I always liked the Rover Maestro, one of the few attractive cars ever built.

The front end with those square headlights and that grill, a real good looking car.
