with money so tight at the moment is bringing an old language back a blatant waste of money. there must be more deserving needs in NI

With the billions coming over here from London, 20 million is a drop in the ocean, keep it coming lads. ;)

Yes, but more concerned as to how many millions/billions will be diverted to prop up "Club Med"

  MAJ 14:25 15 Feb 2010

We also managed to get 800 million from Gordon to help with the devolution of policing and justice. Coincidently (or not) 20 million quid has also been found to help the larger savers of the collapsed Presbyterian Mutual Society, although they say this has been earned by the Society since it went into administration, but who knows. I'm guessing another sum will be 'found' to help the smaller savers of that Society, probably before the Election, or maybe after it, if the Conservative and Unionist party win.

"..scots are going to get a bit jealous too they thought they got the most per head"

We have to let them think that, sunnystaines, after all it cost them their oil...... we've got some lignite.

"...bringing an old language..."
Well, it is used by a fair few in everyday use over there.

If it was £20 million for a BBC Latin speakers station, that would be different.

  sunnystaines 16:16 15 Feb 2010

quickbeam what is it used for?

  Quickbeam 16:19 15 Feb 2010

I'm tempted to say to speak to each other when there's an Englishman in their company, like the Welsh do...

  Quickbeam 16:20 15 Feb 2010

Bugger, it just slipped out!

  sunnystaines 16:32 15 Feb 2010

never been to NI thought it was similar situation to the old scottish lingo. Is it commonly spoken in rural areas like in wales?
