xp/new motherboard

i have orig xp sp2 disc if i replace m/board,cpu and grafic card.will i be able to re-instate xp or do i have buy a new copy?

No, but you may have to call MS to validate it. But XP normally allows a couple of changes to hardware before interfering

There seems to be a new validation service - very easy - you just enter your e-mail address and basic details - much simpler than the old system of entering a long list of numbers/letters. Top marks to Microsoft.

As XP doesn't always "take" to a new motherboard, once your motherboard, CPU and graphics card have been installed, you should immeidately undertake an XP Repair.
