XP and the SATA HD

hi all, i have just purchased a XFXforce motherboard
XFX GeForce 8200 AMD SOCKET 940 DDR2
I want to use XP mainly because the graphic card may not work in vista and vista is a pain anyway.

where do i find the SATA drivers to use on a floppy when i install XP. cant see anything on the boards instalation CD,

help please sent a support ticket to the boards website still waiting

If your XP disk is sp2 or sp3 you should not have any problems with it recognizing SATA hard drive.

I don't think you'll need them. Your mobo is already SATA loaded. I had to use floppy drivers on my old mobo, which was NOT SATA compliant, I had a SATA drive via a PCI card on that machine, so the mobo didn't see it.

I've just done an XP load this week to a SATA compliant board without any need for additional drivers.

And that was with an original XP disc that was even pre SP1.
