XP Pro password

I have just installed XP Pro on a friends PC and on the first boot, it came up with a username of Administrator and was looking for a password, any ideas how to get around this or what is causing it?

normally just pressing the enter button, should bypass it, unless, you set a password during installation.

That's what is confusing me, I didn't set a password and it won;t let me past by pressing enter or anything else I can think of!

Was this a clean installation or did you install over the top of something else? I've never heard of this with a clean installation.

have a look at this post click here

Try click here ""Use the built-in Administrator account. For XP Professional, press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and input your Administrator password in the classic logon window that appears."" (type in 'Administrator' as the password)
Or this: click here

None of this is working.

I formatted the c: drive, installed XP Pro onto c: and I get to a password prompt with the username set to Administrator.

Pressing CTL ALT DEL doesn't do anything.
