Microsoft Office is not included as part of the XP operating system. You will have had separate CDs for Windows XP and for Office.

some pcs come with microsoft works installed or on a seperate disc supplied with the pc this contains versions of word money etc,or you may have installed a full version of office this would be a seperate disc.
you could install open office free find it here

Office should on a seperate disc, when you say delete do mean uninstall or simply delete?

As if you have just deleted it you could have serious problems regarding missing dll's which other applications depend on.

Not sure on the delete bit I think I may have deleted!!!

Can office XP run with Vista?
Sorry to throw this in the mix as i may need to buy office again if I can't find the disc.

If you've not emptied your Recycle Bin yet, go to open it by clicking on it and if the Office file is in there right click on it and click on Restore.

Yes, Office XP (2002) will run in Vista.

Office XP should run on Vista, I've used Office 2003 and now use 2007 on Vista. But I use Office XP Media which comes as an extra for Office XP, so I think it should work on Vista.
