XP not saving display settings.

  bobhar 07:56 11 Jun 2004

I have just upgraded my monitor to a 17' LCD screen and have set display settings to
1024 x 768 x 32(bit) and monitor refresh rate of 75Hz.
Everytime I shutdown or restart the PC the display setting defaults to 640 x 480 x 32(bit) and a monitor refresh rate of 60HZ.
This is becoming very annoying resetting the display, also at the logon screen the default setting is there before loading a saved personal settings.
I have upgraded to the latest drivers for both ATI video and monitor drivers.
Can anyone please help me.
Many thks
PS Could there be away to tweak the registry?

Have you clicked the troubleshoot button and followed the instructions for "Can't set display over 640* 480". ?

I have tried the suggested fixes in the troubleshoot guide in help section and this did not fix the problem.

Does your TFT support a refresh rate of 75MHZ, 60MHZ is more usual for a TFT screen.
