Hello all

Im about to try and fix a problem with a mates pc.
Im a little blind till i get there. He has a virus,so he says and his system will not boot up.Ive got

Downloaded and saved to disc. What i would like to know ...is it safe to run these in safe mode ?
Provided it boots into safe mode obviously.

I will try the usual ideas of system restore first, maybe turn it off and reboot and turn it back on again.

Also will try Last good configuration.

Any ideas would be gladly appreciated please

You cannot update AVG on line in safe mode,as you can't get online in safe mode.
