Is there a way to find out what the administrator password is from within windows

if you account is an administrative one then you can remove a different accounts password.
go to control panel, accounts, pick the administrators and click remove password.
If your not an administrator on you computer, you need to take it back.

If you haven't changed it yourself, it should be blank - for ex. when Recovery Console asks for the password, just hit Enter. PC vendors will not normally set it of their own accord.

Dixons will not have, or should not have set an admin. password. This is something you will have set yourself, if at all. as above go to the admin controls and see if there is a password, it may well be blank. j.
