XP explorer freezing

  NIk-1224652 17:51 17 Dec 2007

Suddenly system starts to freeze. "Blackouts" last from 10 sec. to 1 min. During this period, music plays and p2p flows normally, cursor runs ok and start menu is available from keyboard, but panels are anavailable. Programs and explorer windows get assigned if clicked, but any other action is frozen.
I reseated RAM and GC, reinstalled XPs, checked RAMs, defragmented HDs. Problem persisted. Any wisdom from xprienced out there.

sounds as if you have too much running at once for your system to handle.
Don't know your system specs, but multi tasking can slow everything down.
Shut your music down when you need to do other things with your p2p running.
For a better performance make sure your hard drive is defraged, and Scan for spyware and viruses.

Mrwoowoo, tnx 4 respond. I allready minimized all startup entries. Freez happens independently on task quantity. I dont run p2p much and have other sources of music.

I would download super anti spyware pro which is free and do a scan with it.(just google).
