I've got XP Pro running on Athlon 1600xp,30Gb hard drive,256mb ram,DVD & CDRW.
The system keeps crashing quite regular.
Here is a report that is displayed after a re-start/scan disc check.

I'm not sure if it is my hard drive failing of something else.
Anyone help,Please.

Right click my computer/properties/advanced/
startup and recovery. Uncheck the "automatically restart" box.

Next time it bluescreens, write down the info.

the minidump is a small file that contains info about the crash. Search for the file sysdata.xml and delete it and any other sysdata.xml files. This file can be used to send to microsoft to report a system/software error.

uninstall and reinstall any recently added software since the crashes started but ensure that there are no running applications before you do so.

just crashed again,
here's what the blue screen of death said.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file:win32k.sys

Technical information
STOP : 0x00000050 (0xe0ac8d24,0x00000000,0xbf884eed,0x00000000)

Win32k.sys address bf884eed base at bf800000,datestamp 3b7de698

would a re-format sort it,or is it deeper than that?.
