Try right clicking on the folder

choose properties

click the security tab

click advanced

click the owner tab

highlighy the user you want to have access to the files,

check the box that says replace owner on subcontainers and objects

click Apply then ok

Can you access it now?

Error Message - My Documents is not Accessible - Access Denied

Chose properties

'Sharing' - Tab no 'Security'

No 'advanced' tab

If I select 'Network Sharing and Security' I get the same message.

I am running XP Pro by the way!

Disable Simple File Sharing and try again

Click Start then My Computer then Tools then Folder Options choose View.

Scroll to the bottom of the list of advanced settings and un-check Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended).

Click OK.

Try click here and save it to the new XP directory.

It bieng on the same partition is the problem... you may be able to access it in safe mode (but I dont hold out much hope)
