xp being shutdown

this only started this evening,
when i have been on the internet for about two minutes i get the message "RPC service terminated unexpectedly"shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.i did a bit of searching on google and found a referance to eudora mail,which i have been using lately so i deleted the program but the problem still persists,any ideas please.

followed your instructions so far so good,thank god i could download the patch on my linux side,
(who says dual booting is not a good idea).once again thank you all.

Seems like it was a global problem and has infected thousands, where do these scumbags get off in making these viruses and what really are they getting from it, beats me.
