Wrong CPU Detected by BIOS and Windows

Trying to sort out a PC for a friend, it should have an AMD Phenom II X6 1050T CPU. However every test I've tried now says it's only a Dual Core CPU, on Boot it's identified as an Opteron dual core CPU. A clean install of W7 followed by an upgrade to W10 has failed to make any difference. The board is a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT with 12GB of RAM, despite this it runs very slow. A Broadband speed test averages around 80Mbps, which is slow when it's on a 350 Mbps business connection on which a Laptop earlier today peaked at 390Mbps. I'm baffled at the moment.
