This should be easy to do with WinXP Pro. Right-click the drive and select Property, followed by choosing the Security tab, within which you can modify the level of protection you choose. WinXP Home, on the contrary, lacks this feature. However, you can still bring up the security tab when you boot up into the Safe Mode
