Word question ref inserting data

I am working on long documents, and need the facility to create a master docuemnt ( which i have) and at selected points within the doucment have an organisations name or detail.

I would like to create the document, and at the selected point have a refernce back to the front page were this data is, and so it populates the document automatically. I cannot use REPLACE function because for some reason, data held in drawing boxes doesnt update.

ANy clues, as i dont think Auto INSERT will work either.

You probably can do it the way you suggest, but I don't know how.

Another alternative is to record a macro with all of the details and tehn just play the macro at each point you want the details inserted.

I am not sure if a macro would work in this instance.

I was hopig to have something similare maybe to a mail merge function.
