I have a laptop and I am not connected to the internet but there are lots of hotpots around. but cannot connect would a Wireless USB Network adapter help me to connect?
I'll have chips with my hotpot please - LoL ...Yes you need a USB Dongle, probable the Three Dongle is best!click hereNotice though, that not all Hotspots are Free.
I am looking to connect for free, when away from home.
That is possible, there are plenty of free hotspots, just saying that not all are free. If you go to the library, I am sure they will tell you about local free hotspots. But there are no Free Dongles!!
If you mean the local free BTopenzone type of hotspot then yes, a wireless USB/PC card will help you connecting. But make sure you have a good firewall & antivirus programs and stop all filesharing functions on your Laptop/PC.
click hereOthers if you google "hotspots"
I will have to close again without being any the wiser, Thank for trying
I think I know what you're on about this time, you'll need this or similar click here to connect to free wifi hotspot. An ordinary wireless USB adapter won't work.
