I have just bought a wireless enabled laptop and currently use the web over a fixed phone line cable. But i would like to use the laptop to its full potential and go wireless. Do I have to have a desktop pc as well or can I just plug the router into my phone line and get the wireless. (sold desktop to get laptop). Cheers in advance for your help.

Sorry about the first reply. No you do not need a PC. Just a router to go wireless as your laptop is already fitted with a wireless network adaptor.

You only need the Laptop to Wireless Router. But you need to use a Ethernet Strait connection wire to set the router up first.

^bump^ How did you get on? It's a learning curve.
