Wireless range extender

I bought a D-Link Wireless G Range Extender DWL-G710 and am having some problem setting it up.

It tells me to;
The default IP address for the DWL-G710 is 192.168.0.30 with a Subnet Mask of 55.255.255.0. You will need to assign your computer a Static IP
address within the same range as the DWL-G710’s IP address for the purpose of configuring the DWL-G710.

Any ideas on how to do this, as I just put 192.168.0.30 into my address bar, and it tells me that the page is not found. Very stressed and unhappy at the moment.

What do i do???

I have orange broadband and a livebox wireless device.

Good idea to start a new thread on this but mark the other one as resolved (which it is). I can`t get onto the D-Link support pages at the moment but I`ll have a look late Monday morning for you.

By the way the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0 I think - typo? I think you have to get at the livebox admin pages to connect to the D-Link but I`ll check. I`m quite interested in this one!

Yeh I found out how to set the static IP address and did all that to rea arrange it. Yes sorry that was a typo.

Then I tried the 192.168.0.30 into my address bar but it didnt work.
