Wireless problem

  esd86 18:55 08 Aug 2013

I have an asus pce n15 wireless adapter installed in my PC.

I have a virgin superhub router.

My wireless adapter can detect every other network in my area but not my superhub.

Ive tried changing channels of the router and factory reseting it.

Ive also tried reinstalling windows and all drivers including the latest ones.

Im using windows XP home and have an asus mobo.

What can i do to fix this problem?

Look carefully at the settings on your superhub - specifically "Broadcast ssid" or similar and "Allow new stations to connect" or similar.

These are security features to make it harder for hackers to connect but all they do is cause problems for genuine users.

I have checked this in the router settings and SSID broadcasting is 'enabled'

Any other ideas?

Is this your wireless adapter? click here do Asus say?

And what do Virgin say?

Yes this is my wireless adapter, I have sent a message to asus with no reply and cannot contact virgin media because I'm not the account holder, although I can access the router settings.

Is there any thing else that you can think of that I might try?

Many thanks for your replies
