wireless ntl broadband bundle

  joban 15:25 26 Dec 2003

I'm having probs getting this set up. The router connects to broadband ok (confirmed by ntl and router software) but I can't browse the net even though I've disabled everything that could have got in the way (firewall etc).
NTL didn't seem to know whether or not I needed a mac address (means nothing to me but consists of a lot of zeros)
NTL broadband is via USB - could this be the prob?
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a firewall disable it.. Then try and connect

Router is Actiontec Wireless Cable/DSL router , sold as NTL bundle so that set top box broadband connection (currently via USB to main pc) can be accessed from elsewhere in house.
Setup disc comes with bundle.
No network set up yet.

Thanks for the interest, I finally got it sorted - had to put a mac address in manually to the router software
