Wireless Networking Problems

I need your help on a couple of problems I have with my home PC's, please.

Problem 1 - Home Wireless Networking

I'm trying to connect my two PC's through a wirelss network. (The Study PC connected to the den pc). I bought two Sitecom Wireless Network adaptors on advice and was told that I didn't need an access point or router. I've tried setting the network up as an ad hoc network and I can see the "other" pc on the network but cannot access files or the internet from the the remote pc (den pc) through the main pc (study). Your help would be much appreciated.

Both PC's have 80gb+ and over 2,500 mhz.

Thanks

Ray

Have you actually set any folders / printers as "shared" and have you enabled "Interent Connection Sharing" on the internet connection in the 'host' PC?

The 'host' PC should have a fixed IP address of 192.168.0.1 and the 'client' PC should be set to get its IP and DNS addresses automatically.
