Wireless mouse problems

As in a previous post from someone else,my wireless mouse has become very erratic; slows down to a stop, then slowly gets moving again. It's infuriating.I've changed the batteries, checked the settings, to no avail. The difference from the previous post is that it's only 2 months old.It did work fine.I suppose it was too cheap to be any good-it's a PCLine @ £9.99 from PC World. The support line costs £1 a minute, so I'll not try that, but I might take it back on the offchance.. Any ideas ?

Just found same mouse for £2.00 new with a review of
1 out of 5 which sort of tells you something..

Hi, when you think about it, a mouse is an essential pc item, so IMHO it is a false economy to go for the less expensive type. I have a Logitech Dual Laser USB cordless 5 button/tilt-wheel mouse which I have had for some time, it is excellent and has never let me down. Its' battery lasts so long that I almost forget that it has one, until the mouse warns me that the battery will shortly need changing. £29.90 well spent.
