wireless help with ntl

i have an ntl cable modem conncted by usb to my pc. i bougth a belkin adsl modem/router so i d hav wireless internet on my laptop. is this possible or did i buy thr wrong thing.thanks

Unfortunately, if you bought a combined "Router & ADSL Modem" this is the wrong type for use with "Cable" broadband - it is only suitable for ADSL delivered via the phone line.

You need a "stand-alone" wireless router, often described as a "Wireless Cable/DSL Router" (don't confuse the reference to DSL with models which incorporate an ADSL Modem).
