i have a wireless n card in my laptop and a netgear wireless g router, am i missing out on potential download speed? ta

all systems run at the speed of the slowest component. g can be slower than n but you probably wont notice the difference.

Speed is not the only advantage of N over G.

An N router has a greater range and can hold the signal strength at a higher rate over greater distance than G
