Wireless Connection Does Not Work

  User-E70658AE-BDD7-4DD5-AE5EE3B7769D7D2C 20:36 20 Nov 2007

I have a main PC connected to a BTHub via USB, I also have a laptop (my son's) which normally connects via wireless link. They are not networked or connected in any other way, he just piggy backs on my wireless hub. The problem is my sons'laptop which does not connect to the Internet except for very short durations. sometimes when I boot up it automatically conects, other times I have to connect manually. However, whichever way I connect it drops after about 20 seconds. This is driving me nuts!!!
The laptop is set to connect automatically and the settings look ok to me, there seems to be no explanation unless the hub is dropping rather than the laptop. Is there any way of checking whether the hub is working correctly?

Any ideas anyone please??

Thank you

Maybe the hub needs re-setting (I also have the BT Hub). Remove the Power lead from back of hub, then wait minimum of ten seconds, then re-connect lead - then wait until all lights are steady again, this will take several minutes, be patient. Then try laptop again.
