Wireless connection

Hi,I have dimensions 4600 desktop,I am undecided whether to buy a more powerful desktop than a laptop to wireless connect in the house. The laptop would be a home machine rather than be taken outside so mobility is not an issue. Is it just as easy to connect a laptop or a desktop to wireless connection via a router? Thank you

Most new laptop come ready wireless enabled and you will need a wireless adapter for most desktop.

The easiest way is a usb dongle click here

yes, it is easy to connect the lap top wireless througth the router.

Also it is easy to connect the desktop wireless provided the wireless adapter is installed in the desktop.

my suggestion is go for a lap top which is having N-standard built in adapter(make sure router is also a N-standard router).

Hi,Thank you to both L8-tian and Strawballs for your prompt and informative responses. As it does not seem to cause any greater problems I will probably go for the higher spec desktop. Thanks again
