wireless connection

at friend's house. I can connect to his wireless network and detect 2 others. He can't see any network on his packard bell easy note. Have disabled firewall but no joy. Any suggestions? He's had this problem for a while now. Thanks

you've checked that his wireless network adapter is working properly?

Well in device manager it says it works ok. I've disabled it and enabled it, Uninstalled and reinstalled but still says no networks detected. He says that his network signal has always been unreliable but it seems that the problem is his adapter as I connected straight away.

Think he needs to purchase one of these,click here.
That will solve the problem if the onboard adaptor is playing up

OK, Fn +F1 did the trick. I was looking for a switch to enable or disable wireless connection as on my Fujitsu. So simple...
