Wireless compatible

How can I check to see if my pc is wireless compatible? I am looking at getting a wireless broadband modem.

If you have XP SP2 it will be compatible by simply adding a wireless PCI card or USB adaptor if these are not already installed. In general PCs don't come with wireless capability.

Is there anyway I can check on the pc to see if there is a PCI card?

If you have a wireless card installed there will be a small antenna at the back of your pc. A few mobos now come with w/less as standard now and all have this antenna.

Hope this helps.

Also check the device manager and see if it mentions wireless under lan connections.

Only found 'bluetooth' under LAN connections. Looks like I may have to buy something.
Any suggestions on what and where?
