Wired and Wireless Connection. Can I have both?

I am due a new laptop next week which I will be networking to the main PC in the house. I have a netgear router which will allow both wireless and wired connection. The new laptop will allow both as well.

Most of the time I plan to have the laptop in another room wired to the router.

My question is, on the rare occasion I want to use the laptop wirelessly will I be able to, or will I be limited to either a wired or wireless connection?

You can use either.

Brilliant, thanks for the info.

If you can, it might be best to, keep the PC wired to the router. That way if you get any wireless problems you can use the wired PC to access the router to check the settings.
