I have tried a search but for some reason it's not working......How do you wipe/format a windows 2000 pro hard drive so I can install windows XP home ( the disc is so full of junk the quickest thing to do is wipe it)Thanks in advance
I think if you boot from your XP CD there is an option to wipe the HD, from a menu. Failing that, boot from the floppy (say a 98 setup disk) and Format C: from there
Worked a treat from a 98 setup disc and cdthanksRob
As Diemmess has said, boot from the xp cd, you will have all the options to format in either fat32 or ntfs and be able to partition as you want.
