WinXP autoupdate annoyance

I've switched the WinXP(SP2) Autoupdate off as I prefer to update it manually.

Is there a way to stop winXP hassling me about it everytime I boot-up the computer?

As far as I can see, there's no "Don't show this next time" button or box anywhere that I can check.

Thanks for reply but that was not what I was asking.

I've already switched off autoupdate but everytime I boot up, winXP allerts me that autoupdate is OFF. "I KNOW IT'S OFF, I SWITCHED IT OFF!!!" is what I want to shout at it.

I want to switch the alert off if possible.

Ah thanks, I missunderstood. Found it now.

Thanks again
