Winsock Error - Unable to Upload Webpages

  [DELETED] 13:30 14 Nov 2003

My domain's server seems to be fine. I can connect and view my website or view my email with my website manager, but I cannot upload my updated html pages. I tried from Net Objects Fusion and from FTP Commander, which gives a winsock error.

What does this mean? Is it just a temporary problem?

Any clues?

Is this any help?

When you start the WinSock Proxy Client 2.0 tool in Control Panel, you may receive the following error message:

WinSock Proxy client is not installed correctly.
You may also experience unreliable connections with WinSock Proxy Client programs, such as Microsoft Outlook Express mail and news accounts.
This behavior can occur if WinSock Proxy Client 2.0 was not installed in Terminal Services installation mode.
To resolve this issue:
Use the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel to remove WinSock Proxy Client.
Reboot the computer.
At a command prompt, type change user /install, and then press ENTER.
Reinstall WinSock Proxy Client 2.0.

Winsock proxy client is not installed. All was working just fine earlier, and it still works on my NTL Webspace.

I don't think I did anything, but the fault is cleared now, whatever it was.
