winLogonExe error

  Billawa 18:23 23 Sep 2008

I have received the application error as follows:- "WinLogonExe the memory 0x0200747b could not be written" I have tried to locate this on the Microsoft site but with no success. Can someone point me in the right direction or tell me what it means please?

As a supplementary point I switched the computer on and the cursor refused to function staying obstinately at the bottom right of the screen until boot up was finished and then it migrated to the top left of the screen. It was then possible to move it but if nothing was clicked quickly it returned to the top of the screen. I uninstalled the device and reloaded the software. The same thing happened at the next boot up. Any ideas wjat is happening?

I have Win XP SP3.
