Windows XP and S/P3

My daughter has an older PC with Windows XP on it, which only has Service pack 2 on. I read the news about Microsoft not supporting Service pack 2 from the 13th, so I downloaded S/p 3, went to put it on her PC and it came up and says.Cannot load S/P 3. I did this twice and the same message came up. How can I get round this so that I can install S/P 3?

Download SP3 from Microsoft Download Center and burn to CD, it will autorun.
Windows XP Service Pack 3 - ISO-9660 CD Image File click here

ignore the part that says "DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER" as the ISO version will enable SP3 to install on any pc instead of the customised smaller download that is tailored to specific pc's.

From your daughters computer go to the MS update web page and let it scan the Computer for any updates required, it will give you a full list. One of the files checks your computers OS to see if it is a legal copy and may be required before SP3 can be installed.
