Windows XP Remote Assistance

Hi Folks

As Anybody tried the Windows Remote Assistance, If so did you find that you could fix problems with other peoples computer with it or was it a waste of time.

Any information would gratefully recieved

I have used it and fixed a problem on my brother in laws machine.

The biggest draw back was speed. I am 512BB and he was 56k dial up. Whether it was because of this I am unsure but it was a slow and tedious process.

Thanks for your reply. Regarding the connection speed we are both on 512k broadband, so the speed shouldn't be tredious.

You could use LapLink if you have difficulties with Remote Assistance, but Microsoft did develop XP Pro to be a first class network OS.

Thanks for your response, i will keep your suggestion in mind if i run into any problems with Remote assistance.
