Windows XP Alert Box

On startup I get an alert box which says:- Windows - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive
with the options cancel, try again, continue. Usually clicking twice on continue clears it, but it is very annoying. Can anyone advise please?

boot into your bios, and select advanced bios options.

Ensure your first boot device, is set to hd0, save and exit.

Thanks, JoeR, I tried what you suggested and although the boot drive was set to a flash drive it hasn't solved the problem. On looking at the alert more closely it says "there is no disk in drive . " Is the dot significant?

I don't think the . is significant.

You haven't installed "audiograbber" recently by any chance.?

Not as far as I'm aware, others sometimes use my computer but no-one admits anything!

just that I had googled it earlier, and this seemed the most common factor.

Can you try booting into the bios again, and disabling the second, third and other boot devices, and also disable boot up floppy seek.

It seems to be looking for a disk of some sort.
