Windows update problem

I seem to have this nagging problem, every time I boot up my pc it starts to down load windows updates.

I have my pc set to download the updates BUT give me the option of when I choose to install them, this I am ok with. However once the updates have downloaded it does not give me the option to install them.

I think I am downloading the same updates every time I boot my PC as I can not install them due to this option not being available. What do you think?

I don’t really want to change the option to automatic install. Can anybody advise of what I can do to fix the problem? I don’t want to turn of the updates but the problem is starting to get to me as my pc is slow when the updates are being downloaded.

Try downloading and running Dial-a-fix

Try downloading them manually.And maybe install them 1 at a time.
