windows uninstaller sucks

Is there anything out there that will totally uninstall a program (ie remove all entries in windows explorer, all shortcuts and registry entries)?

have just been having a browse in windows explorer and found things i uninstalled ages ago (the same in the registry).

click here registry cleaner.

click here Total Uninstall.

click here My Uninstaller.

It's one of Windows unavoidable s, if you install and remove software with any regularity, the system will accumulate rubbish. It can be controlled to some extent, but is near impossible to avoid and a reformat will become a good idea at some point.

The problem lies not so much with the windows uninstaller, but with the installer routine that comes with a piece of software.

The installer should in theory come with a list of;

all the changes it makes to a system

all the files it puts on a PC and where they get put.

If the list misses somthing out, or contains an error, then parts will get left behind when the program is uninstalled.

Also there is the very distinct possability that a file program A installed may be required by program B too. If program A was uninstalled, then Program B would stop working, and would have to be re-installed, to re-install the common file.

There are no doubt other reasons too.
