Windows Second Edition C.D.

I have just purchased a new optical mouse for use on my computer and now find I need my original Windows 98 Second Edition C.D. to install it. However I can't find the C.D. and want to know what the solution is? Is it o.k. to borrow someone else's C.D and use it? Wher can I obtain a replacement C.D? (Or is there another way around it).

ask a friend for their copy of win 98 and use that, if you don't have a friend! who has a copy you can buy online for a few pence at ebay, failing that i can send you a copy

You may have the 'Cabs' files on your PC in which case you can direct the setup wizard to look in there. Usual location: C:\Windows\Options\Cabs - give it a try. G

While I am on.. Why is the time half an hour different on this thread than on every other clock in my sight line?
