Windows Resources are low

  Psinc 17:16 23 May 2003

I am getting an alert message that the Windows Resources are extremely low. Because of this my programs continually crash.
My opertaing system is Windows Me and I have 512mb of memory.
Can anyone assist?

Sounds like it coild be the corrupt scenario.

Rename to anything you like and reboot and a new one will be created and you should be back to normal. That being the case then you can delete the old that you renamed.

Hi Leo,
I tried to search for the files, the search returned no results.
could you assist further.

You need to use the option to search for hidden files and folders.

NB. leo49's solution only applies if you have Microsoft Word installed.

Thanks for clarifying VoG™ - never occurs to me that anyone hasn't got Word!

If isn't the culprit, do you have loads of programs rub=nning at startup and hiding themselves in the tray in the bottom right corner (what's that called?)? If you do, open the ones you don't use, go into the options and select them not to start at windows start. For any you can't disable through options, go to Run in the start menu and type msconfig. Goto the startup tab and uncheck anything you don't need. (Leave Systray alone though)
