Every time I connect to the internet with IE if get a message saying
'Windows Messenger
A newer version is available. You must install the newer version in order to continue. Would you like to install now.'
I say no, and it disappears BUT I have uninstalled messenger according to instructions on microsoft's website so don't understand why I keep getting the message.
I have deleted all cookies, temp internet files, temp files, and rebooted without any success.
HELP PLEASE!

I have just been to add/remove programs and see that there are 2 Windows Messenger listed - the one with the Cluedo type people is not installed but the other is still there - is it ok to delete that one too? if I do so, can I get it back again if I have to?
