Windows Media Player & MP3 Conversion

  laser sailor 13:03 20 Jan 2005

I've just bought an MP3 player ( an iRiver not an IPOD )copied a CD using the Media Player in my Windows ME OS and found that the files generated are WAV files, not MP3.

Rather than use file converter software is there a more efficient way to "rip" straight to MP3 ? Music Jukebox V9 sems to be well liked and V10 seems to be too "buggy".

As a supplemental - anyone know any good MP3 download sites ?

Go to

Download the "fichier" (883 kb)

and open it. Double click the

"setuplc3.exe" .

Also, on the same page download the

file to edit the registry for you. That's it, MP3 capabilities in Windows media Player.
