Windows media centre

I am PC / techno raw so bear with me....I have Vista and want to utilise live TV on the media centre. The PC is not in the same room as the incoming aerial to the ordinary household TV.

Are there any devices that feed the signal wirelessly or do I have to split the signal and run a cable thru the house??

Do you know if the PC has a TV card installed, and whether it is digital/analogue or combination?

You may be able to use a video sender:

If your computer has a TV card you will need to run a cable. Depending on the signal strength you may also need a signal booster.

A video sender will not work.

Sorry BRYNIT. If the PC has an analogue TV card, a video sender WILL work. It's just a matter of tuning into the signal delivered by the video sender on the PC.

I have a a couple of channel receiver dongles, one analogue and one hybrid. I have a video sender plugged into a Sky+ box and the receiver side on the next floor. Occasionally I plug this into a laptop via the analogue dongle.

Works fine for me.
