Windows management instrumentation and XP

  cowangate 20:30 30 Apr 2003

I have recently set up a home network using Xp and their useful network setup utility. The network works fine up to a point files and drives and devices can be shared.

Unfortunately I cannot share my internet connection, when i click on the advanced tab of my internet connection it says that my Windows management instrumentation information may be corrupt. It advises that i use system restore to take it back to an earlier date I have now taken it back to the day i installed XP and I am still unable to enable Internet connection sharing.

Does anyone know of a way of sorting this - such as deleting the corrupt file and replacing it and if so where is the file containg the corrupt data> Any help gratefully accepted
