Windows mail and power point

A problem that has just arisen. I have 2003 powerpoint on my computer and am a bt broadband subscriber but download email messages via Windows Mail (I have Vista).

I have always been able to open powerpoint email attachments by clicking on the attachment. I can still do this if I go directly into the BT site and look at the emails there. However, now it seems (happened in the last 2 weeks)that when I click on the attachment after I have downloaded the message via Windows Mail I get the message' This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Association panel'. This all means nothing to me so should much appreciate advice.

Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Associations. Scroll down to .pps and .ppt and change both to open with Powerpoint.

thanks Taff but I dont have 'Default Programs' as part of my (Vista) Control Panel?
